My Table Tennis Journey
2024 NationalsI first played table tennis on our annual family camping trips to Margaret River, spending the whole weekend basically playing table tennis. It wasn’t until I went to a para “Come and Try” day many years later that I decided it was the sport for me. From that moment, I knew I wanted to take it further.
I started training at Kingsway with coach David Brown. He encouraged me to try out for the state team at the National Championships in 2024, to be played in my hometown. It was a challenging tournament, but I had lots of fun, and the exposure at the National level has led to lots of opportunities.
After the Nationals, I was invited to a development camp in Melbourne and later selected for the National Para Table Tennis Development Squad. That was a big step for me, and I’ve been learning a lot ever since.
I’m now working hard with my coaches to become the best player I can be, and I hope to represent Australia at the highest level one day.

I’ve also created a page to celebrate the achievements of the WA State Para Team at the Nationals. I hope to be more involved with the team in the future.
